About The Film

How to Bake Banana Bread is a family dramedy dedicated to the belief that we cannot make it on this earth alone. It is a piece meant to honor my own family, who drive me crazy, yet I love nonetheless. It is a film for anyone who struggles to accept the help of the loved ones in our lives and who use personal accountability as a crutch.

The film follows a grandmother and her grandson. As the matriarchal figure reconciles with past choices, her grandson attempts to deal with his current relationship problems. The film parallels these two lives while the grandson vies for his grandmother’s famous banana bread recipe.

It is the first feature film from writer and director, Logan DESRIS. The film is currently in pre-production and seeking funds to pay for crew, gear, production costs, post-production, etc.

Who knows? Maybe we’ll find the recipe for banana bread along the way.
